Everything Genetic has now launched two ‘direct to consumer’ coronavirus (COVID-19) testing services giving individuals and families the ability to order tests online with a fast door-to-door tracked mail delivery service, rapid turnaround of results within 12-36 hours from
receipt of sample in lab, access to a secure online custom-built portal and a results certificate that will confirm fitness to fly.
The two tests which are available to purchase online include:
- At Home – a standard PCR COVID-19 test for £129 per test. Two options are available including a nasal/throat swab test or a saliva test. Find out more here.
- Fit to Fly – a standard PCR COVID-19 test for £129 per test. This test has been specifically designed for people wanting to travel abroad once Government travel restrictions are lifted and require proof of a negative test in order to fly. This service only offers a nasal/throat swab test as many countries do not accept the saliva test. Find out more here.
Both the At Home and Fit to Fly testing service include a results certificate signed by Everything Genetics’ consultant virologist. Results will also be shared with Public Health England (PHE) as part of the Government’s Test and Trace programme.
The PCR nasal/throat swab and saliva test kits will tell a person if they currently have coronavirus, whether they have symptoms or not (asymptomatic).
The results certificate provided is suitable for Fit to Fly purposes. However, with any overseas travel, it is vital that individuals check the requirements for their destination country as Everything Genetic cannot be held liable if their test certificate is not accepted.
The price of both testing kits includes: The test kit, Royal Mail door-to-door tracked delivery service to home address, how to use guide included with customer services support, return postage paid packaging to the lab using a Royal Mail tracked delivery service, processing of sample in UK lab, results provided within 12-36 hours from receipt of sample at lab, and a results certificate.
