Festive postal service impact on Covid test kit deliveries and processing of samples
We wanted to make our Covid testing customers aware of the potential impact on test kit deliveries and result reporting due to Royal Mail postal services over the Christmas and New Year period.
For test kit orders
Our logistics team are working through to Christmas Eve and test kits can be sent out up until this day. However, please note, that the earliest date you will receive a test kit if ordered on 24 December 2021 would be 29 December due to Royal Mail’s postal processing (see table below). We do advise you book early to avoid disappointment.
We are also distributing test kits in between Christmas from 29th December to 31st December but again, delivery of the kit may be affected due to festive postal processing so please ensure that you allow for this when ordering your kits from us.
For PCR swab results
Our labs are working through the festive period and we do advise that results are provided 12-36 hours after scanned receipt of the sample at the lab. We operate a Royal Mail Track 24 service for our PCR tests. Please note below the likely delivery times for Royal Mail during the festive season. We recommend that you check with your local post office for early and Sunday collections during the festive period.
