We are pleased to announce a partnership with Goodbody Health Group to launch, as part of its healthcare testing services in the local community, a genetic risk testing service for both cancer and cardiac diseases.
Everything Genetic will provide Goodbody Health with four genetic screening testing services including:
- Antegenes women: A polygenic risk score test to identify a person’s genetic predisposition to 3 common cancer – breast, colorectal and skin melanoma – in the next ten years.
- Antegenes men: A polygenic risk score test to identify a person’s genetic predisposition to 3 common cancer – prostate, colorectal and skin melanoma – in the next ten years.
- Multi-cancer screening panel: Analysis of 30 genes to identify any genetic mutations that may make it more likely for a person to develop cancer, including BRCA 1 and 2.
- Cardiac screening panel: Analysis of 30 genes to identify any genetic mutations that may make it more likely for a person to develop cardiac diseases that could lead to stroke, heart attack or sudden cardiac arrest.
All these tests are offered through a simple saliva test, with results delivered in approximately 4 weeks from receipt of the sample in the lab.
The service provided to Goodbody Health and their customers includes wrap-around care with each test including pre and post-test clinical support.
Goodbody Health Inc is a publicly traded company, with a network of community clinics, many based in pharmacies, that provide nationwide healthcare services in the local community to help alleviate the pressures on the NHS.
Prior to this partnership, Everything Genetic supplied Goodbody Health with COVID-19 lateral flow verification services for travellers in response to the pandemic. Continuing the relationship, these new genetic cancer and cardiac risk tests are expected to be an important addition to the Goodbody portfolio of tests as the Company grows from COVID-19 testing to the Wellness market online and through its 200+ partnered clinics.
