Information about Bupa and Everything Genetic

The PCR (COVID-19 antigen) testing service (the “Service”) is provided to you by Bupa Occupational Health Limited (Registered in England, number 00631336) whose registered office is at 1 Angel Court, London, EC2R 7HJ (referred to as “Bupa” “we” or “us”). Bupa Occupational Health Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number Z6196086.

We provide the Service to you by working alongside Everything Genetic Ltd (Registered in England, number 10470718) whose registered office is at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU and who is our PCR (Covid-19) provider (referred to as “Everything Genetic”). Everything Genetic is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office registration number ZA454251.

Bupa and Everything Genetic are each “independent” data controllers of the personal information which you provide or which Bupa or Everything Genetic receive as a result of you using the Service, including your health and medical information.

Bupa is responsible for managing the provision of the Services to you and for the management of any complaints you may have in respect of the Services.

Self-Pay Customers

Where you are a consumer, this will be pursuant to the terms and conditions you have directly entered into with Bupa.

Corporate Customers

Where you are provided with access to these Services through your employer, or a corporate organisation which has provided you with access to this testing (“Bupa Client”), this will be pursuant to the terms and conditions between Bupa and the relevant Bupa Client. Your information will not be disclosed to the Bupa Client, unless you have been previously made aware of this disclosure by the Bupa Client, or as otherwise strictly necessary as permitted by applicable laws.

All Customers

Everything Genetic is responsible for testing your sample to establish whether you had COVID-19 at the time of taking the swab and communicating these results back to you. Everything Genetic is also responsible for retaining your personal and health information for compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations, and for any onward disclosure to the Government or Public Health England as required by law, which may include for the purpose of the NHS “track and trace” system, (or equivalent agencies in any relevant jurisdiction in the UK where the Services are provided and/or where recipient(s) of the Services are located). Bupa does not process your personal or health information for these purposes, and does not receive a copy of your test results.

We want to help you understand how we work with your data, so that you can make informed choices and be in control of your information. We invite you to spend a few moments understanding the policies. We may update the policies from time to time and you should check back here for updates.
