Environment

Protecting the environment: We recognise the need to protect the natural environment and reduce our carbon footprint by:

  • continually reviewing our packaging to reduce the amount of card we use
  • digitising medical paperwork as much as possible
  • following best practices when disposing waste and preserving natural resources by utilising technological and innovations
  • offsetting the amount of printed material with a global tree planting initiative
  • using recycled materials where possible
  • minimising single use plastic waste where possible whilst adhering to medical waste disposal requirements
  • seeking to develop relationships with supply chain partners that are consistent with our company ethics
  • using video conferencing and encourage hybrid working practices where practical to reduce travel

People

We keep our training and development program under continual review and adjust its content based upon feedback, assessment and requirements of the business.

Health and safety management: We operate a Health and Safety policy in which all employees are trained and regularly updated, and we are committed to providing a safe environment adhering with the Health and Safety Work Act (HASAWA) 1974.

Community

Affordable access: We commit to ensure genetic testing remains affordable and accessible to all through our alliance with national healthcare organisations and a disruptive pricing strategy.

Corporate governance: We design our governance practices to align with our core values, ethics, purpose, vision, and social responsibility across the organisation. We ensure that appropriate management and reporting systems are established to ensure that the Directors, and Senior Management, are appropriately advised of the activities of the business and thereby able to govern the company with complete information.

Community engagement: We support local businesses and communities in which we live, giving to local charities on an ad-hoc basis, including The Joshua Tree, Macmillan Cancer Support, Hope House and Breast Cancer Now, and supporting local community groups such as Nantwich Town Football Club.
